Brisbane Festival is one of Australia's leading international arts festivals. The festival is produced by Major Brisbane Festivals, an Australian production company with a world renowned reputation for its ability to create and deliver outstanding cultural programs. The festival combines with the former annual Riverfestival to make it one of the most inclusive and diverse arts festivals in Australia. Brisbane Festival 2009 will be held from 12 September to 3 October, with QBE Riverfire on Saturday 12 September. For three weeks international and Australian artists and productions, free world-class events, emerging fringe theatre, spectacular fireworks, inspiring conversation and debate will fill the theatres, parks and suburban streets for Brisbane Festival 2009.
