Japan Foundation 2018 – 2019 (first application period) Grant Program for Dispatching Artists and Cultural Specialists grantees announced
 
The Japan Foundation's “Grant Program for Dispatching Artists and Cultural Specialists” aims to introduce Japanese culture and arts of Japan overseas by providing artists or specialists in the various fields with funding to cover a portion of the cost of holding performances, demonstrations, seminars workshops, etc., regarding Japanese arts and culture in foreign countries.
The grantees for the first grant period of 2018-2019 (applications received as of Dec. 2017) have been announced 49 projects including 12 to Asia and Oceania, 12 to the Americas, and 25 to Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Performing Arts Japan (PAJ) for North America is a support program for North American based festivals and presenters dedicated to introducing outstanding Japanese performing arts to local audiences. Based on an open applications system, 9 programs have been selected for support during 2018 to 2019.

Performing Arts Japan (PAJ) for Europe is a support program for European-based festivals and presenters dedicated to introducing outstanding Japanese performing arts to local audiences. Based on an open applications system, 7 programs have been selected for support during 2018 to 2019.

ART ARCHIVE published as an English-language e-book series introducing the Philippine arts scene
 
The Manila Office of the Japan Foundation is publishing a new English-language e-book series introducing the Philippine arts scene titled ART ARCHIVE.
The first edition introduces the fine art, theater and dance fields. The authors include front-line artists, curators, producers and researchers bringing their own unique perspective to their commentary on the latest developments in the Philippine arts scene.
