Applications being accepted for 2008 Performing Arts Japan (PAJ) grant programs for North America (until Oct. 29)
 Performing Arts Japan (PAJ) program is designed to provide financial assistance for festival presenters based in North America that aim to introduce outstanding Japanese performing arts to local audiences.
Applications are now being accepted for 2008 grants under this program (for the period from Apr. 2008 to June 2009). The receiving office for these applications is the Japan Foundation’s New York office. Information about the application contents and the application forms can be downloaded from the office’s Web site.

The primary objectives of PAJ for North America:
(1) To increase access to Japanese performing arts in the U.S. and Canada, especially outside major metropolitan areas such as New York and Los Angeles
(2) To promote understanding of Japanese performing arts by providing educational programs for artists and audiences in each touring location apart from public performances
(3) To support collaborative projects between American and Japanese performing artists

Qualified Area:
U.S.A (including Canada as touring destination)
