Japan Foundation sponsoring the international symposium “Vers la pluralité Mondialisation, identités, et cultures traditionelles“ held in Kyoto (Feb. 6, 2009)
      Japan Foundation has invited former French Minister of Culture, Jack Lang—known for his illustrious and ongoing career in building France into a cultural giant in the contemporary world—to join panelists including Honorary President of Kyoto University of Art and Design, Toru Haga, and President of the Japan Foundation, Kazuo Ogura in an international forum. The forum is designed to be a symposium on the issues of involving the traditional arts, cultural diversity, regional, national and local identity and increasing polarization within the broader context of today’s globalization of society.
