The Japan Foundation 2012 (first period) overseas performance grant recipients announced
The Japan Foundation offers grants to provide part of the funding necessary for projects of Japanese artists in the performing arts to stage performances of high quality arts overseas. The Foundation also offers grants to Japanese organizations engaged in projects using performing arts to promote international exchange on the public youth or regional levels.
For the first grant period of 2012 (application deadline Dec. 1, 2011), recipients have been decided for 57 Category A projects (for overseas performances by artists (groups or individuals) based in Japan), and nine recipients in Category B (projects for public youth or regional level international exchange through performing arts).
