Open Network for Performing Arts Management (ON-PAM) established (Feb. 2013)
On Thursday 14 February, 2013 at Yokohama CreativeCity Center (YCC), an Inaugural Meeting was held in conjunction with TPAM in Yokohama to mark the start of Open Network for Performing Arts Management (ON-PAM), a membership type network organization for connecting artists, arts organizations involved in the management of contemporary performing arts and audiences domestically and internationally.
This is to be network for performing arts presenters, producers and managers to share information and ideas arising from their daily involvement in the work of creating and producing performing arts and aims to serve as a platform for connecting their activities. The network’s will be organized primarily by presenters from public and private theaters and independent producers, and its primary activities will involve raising recognition towards the social role of contemporary performing arts and advocating on cultural policies, aiming to contribute to the benefit of performing arts and society as a whole.
The inaugural president is to be Mr. Yusuke Hashimoto, Programme Director of KYOTO EXPERIMENT. On March 9, an open meeting is to be held in Sendai to introduce the network.
